Conversational Language Courses
Practice makes perfect!
Our conversation language courses are designed to create an opportunity for language learners to practice their speaking skills outside of a regular class.

Practice your speaking skills
If you've ever felt that language apps and traditional classes fall short when it comes to real-life conversations, our conversation practice sessions are here to fill that gap. In small groups of up to 5 learners, you'll have the chance to engage in guided, real-life conversations on topics like travel, personal goals, and everyday life, all while being supported by a native-proficiency instructor. Unlike regular classes, there’s no formal instruction—just a relaxed space to practice speaking naturally and confidently.
What makes our sessions so effective is the focus on practical, real-world language use. You’ll tackle topics that are both interesting and useful, allowing you to move beyond repetitive phrases and rigid structures. With the support of an inlingua instructor, you’ll have the chance to practice spontaneous speaking, improve your listening skills, and receive helpful suggestions—all in a safe and comfortable environment. Plus, our small group setting ensures that everyone has plenty of speaking opportunities, helping you gain confidence and build your skills in a social and supportive atmosphere. Whether you're looking for conversational Spanish or French, our approach helps learners gain real fluency through genuine interaction and guided practice.

Language levels: A2 & B1
To make sure every learner feels comfortable and engages, we currently offer sessions at A2 (Basic user) and B1 (Independent user) levels for both Spanish and French. Each level is designed to help learners tackle real-life situations and become more confident in speaking and understanding the language. Here’s a closer look at what each level entails, so you can quickly identify where you’ll feel most comfortable:

A2 – Basic user
- This level is perfect if you’re comfortable with simple phrases and basic vocabulary related to everyday topics.
- At the A2 level, you’re able to talk about immediate personal needs, your family, daily routines, shopping, work, and basic travel scenarios.
- You’re likely familiar with short, clear sentences and can catch the main idea in simple conversations or messages, especially if the speaker is clear and slow.
- Ideal for learners starting out in conversational French or Spanish.
Example session topics include “Changing the future”, “Seasonal weather”, and “Life decisions” – conversations that allow you to build fluency on topics familiar to your daily life without complex language.

B1 – Independent user
- If you’re able to handle more complex conversations and express opinions on familiar topics, B1 is likely your best fit. At this level, you can discuss areas of personal interest like hobbies, travel, and current events.
- You can understand the main points in clear, standard conversations, whether in a social, work, or leisure context. Reading simple news articles or following a movie plot isn’t too challenging, as long as the language is straightforward.
In these B1 sessions, you’ll cover topics like “Planning your future,” “Entertainment,” and “Managing fear and stress.” These conversational language course sessions are slightly more nuanced, helping you practice explaining ideas, expressing wishes, and narrating events in a relaxed, supportive environment.
